Jobs at Corporate Eye
There are some very exciting things happening behind the scenes here at Corporate Eye. We’re soon going to be expanding the range and scale of our services, and will be recruiting people to help us with this.
We’ll be looking for people in the following areas:
- bloggers with an interest in one or more of the following areas:
- corporate governance
- corporate media relations
- corporate careers
- corporate communications
- and we’ll also want benchmarkers and site testers.
All these will be work-from-home jobs.
Blog Jobs
For the blogging roles, we’ll be looking for 2-3 posts per week for each of the stakeholder areas, each of 500-800 words. These will be paid posts - US$20/£10 per post, monthly by PayPal. We’ll also post a mini-bio about each of our bloggers, with a link to your own site if appropriate (we need to be sure our links out are work-appropriate because of our audience).
Each post should fall into one of the following categories:
- discussion of tools or techniques used by companies,
- comparison of how different companies handle (whichever stakeholder area you are discussing) on the internet
- discussion of the issues faced by companies with respect to (whichever stakeholder area you are discussing on) their sites.
If you have ideas for other material, we’d be pleased to hear them.
Each post should contain a link to the site under discussion, and at least one image, ideally a screenshot of a relevant page on that corporate site. We like to use Snag-It for this, but this would be up to you. In case it matters to you: we use WordPress.
To apply, please let us know the area(s) that you are interested in blogging about, and why you think you’d be an ideal candidate for this; send us links to previous work; and an on-topic sample post if your previous work doesn’t cover that area. If your sample post is suitable, we’ll post it - and pay for it - whether or not your application is successful.
If any of these roles interest you, do get in touch via jobs@corporate-eye.com.
Benchmark/Site Tester
This role would suit people with good attention to detail. It would be based at home, and would suit someone who needs flexibility, perhaps to work around school hours.
We need people to score each section of a website against our defined criteria, capturing and preparing screenshots of best practice examples. In the future, we will also need people to do cross-browser and accessibility testing of company websites.
Again, if this role appeals, contact us via jobs@corporate-eye.com.
