{"id":32119,"date":"2010-02-24T00:49:04","date_gmt":"2010-02-24T00:49:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.corporate-eye.com\/blog\/?p=32119"},"modified":"2010-02-24T00:49:04","modified_gmt":"2010-02-24T00:49:04","slug":"top-10-branded-sounds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.corporate-eye.com\/main\/top-10-branded-sounds\/","title":{"rendered":"Top 10 Branded Sounds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An important part of marketing and branding is appealing to consumers&#8217; senses, and sound is just as important as smell, touch, taste and sight.\u00a0 I was particularly interested in an article I read on the Fast Company Web site today that revealed the most well-known sounds, including the top 10 branded sounds.\u00a0 Believe it or not, the Intel sound that&#8217;s become so recognized that it&#8217;s now part of the company&#8217;s advertising campaign (check out the ad below), is second in terms of popularity only behind the sound of a baby crying.<\/p>\n<p><object width=\"480\" height=\"295\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/bbifmRBBN6Q&#038;hl=en_US&#038;fs=1&#038;rel=0\"><\/param><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\"><\/param><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\"><\/param><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/bbifmRBBN6Q&#038;hl=en_US&#038;fs=1&#038;rel=0\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" width=\"480\" height=\"295\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p>The list is based on a small study done by Buyology Inc. and Elias Arts with 50 people and used neuroscience research methods to evaluate participants&#8217; reactions to a wide variety of sounds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>According to the Fast Company article, the top 10 non-branded <em>and<\/em> branded sounds are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Baby giggle<br \/>\n2. Intel<br \/>\n3. Vibrating phone<br \/>\n4. ATM \/ cash register<br \/>\n5. National Geographic<br \/>\n6. MTV<br \/>\n7. T-Mobile Ringtone<br \/>\n8. McDonald&#8217;s<br \/>\n9. &#8216;Star Spangled Banner&#8217;<br \/>\n10. State Farm<\/p>\n<p><strong>And the top 10 branded sounds are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Intel<br \/>\n2. National Geographic<br \/>\n3. MTV<br \/>\n4. T-Mobile<br \/>\n5. McDonald&#8217;s<br \/>\n7. State Farm<br \/>\n8. AT&amp;T Ringtone<br \/>\n9.
