Don&#8217;t companies need regular &#8220;workers&#8221; any more?<\/li>\n<li> There&#8217;s a bit of show-biz glitziness to these phrases that would seem to put interviewing and hiring on a par with <em>American Idol<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Love to hear a contrasting point of view!<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Speaking of (potential) comments, here are a few good tips provided by commenters on earlier posts:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"unIndentedList\">\n<li> Mel Kleiman&#8211;author of the white paper on hourly recruiting mentioned in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.corporate-eye.com\/main\/recruiting-hourly-workers\/\">Tick Tock<\/a>&#8211;hosts a very interesting community forum at <a href=\"https:\/\/kleiman.ning.com\/\">HRExchange<\/a>. Good content, in addition to worthwhile discussions.<\/li>\n<li> A comment from autom8 provided a link to Smashing Magazine&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smashingmagazine.com\/2009\/02\/10\/10-harsh-truths-about-corporate-websites\/\">10 Harsh Truths about Corporate Websites<\/a>. Though not about the Careers site in particular, the article offers a provocative and generally accurate summary of typical problems and pitfalls.<\/li>\n<li>The post <a href=\"..\/..\/..\/..\/..\/2009\/03\/on-the-hunt-for-passive-candidates\/\">On the Hunt for Passive Candidates<\/a> produced several good tips. In separate comments both David and Richard mentioned RealMatch&#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.realmatch.com\/AdminNET\/EMOurProduct.aspx\">worth a look<\/a> if you&#8217;re not familiar with this &#8220;pay-per-performance recruitment advertising solution.&#8221; And commenter Patrick has a nice instructional post on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.the-linkedin-speaker.com\/main\/09\/linkedin-training-tip-for-hr-and-recruiters-%E2%80%93-a-clever-talent-management-technique\/\">LinkedIn for HR and recruiters<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Finally, here&#8217;s the info on a site I can&#8217;t quite figure out how to categorize, so it never gets into a post.\u00a0 But it&#8217;s very interesting, and a good resource:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;<a title=\"http:\/\/www.communitelligence.com\/\" href=\"http:\/\/www.communitelligence.com\/\">Communitelligence.com<\/a> is a member-based, knowledge-sharing portal aimed at improving organizational and interpersonal communication.
