Madeline,
I'm not entirely sure what you are asking. I don't work for GE and certainly do not have any information not available to the general public, so I can't help you there.

If, however, what you mean is why wouldn't a question like yours be covered on something like GE Reports, then I think the answer is that it is just the wrong forum. GE Reports is aimed more at the general public and by extension investors or potential investors. To discuss the strategy of an internal unit on such a forum would be very unusual. In fact, GE seldom breaks down public discussions any further than "Aviation". So, other than perhaps press releases about good news involving Unison, I wouldn't expect to see anything that specific on a site like GE Reports.

I would also like to add that it does not necessarily follow that no news is bad news. Strategy, in particular, is the kind of thing most companies like to hold close to their vest, largely to avoid giving any competition the ability to counter it.

It sounds like you are genuinely and personally concerned about Unison, and I can appreciate that, but as far as GE Reports goes, it probably isn't the place to provide the kind of information you are looking for.

Thank you for your comment.

Giving the economic times we are experiencing, I have asked many times to tell us the direction that GE has in store for Unison. It seems to me that this subject is ignored or dismissed.
If your practice is to be open, honest and transparent, why not respond. One gets the feeling that there is something to hide. There has not been any communication, blog, letter or anything from Christy in months. How about an answer.
