Especially in these trying times, everyone needs to put their money where their mouth is. Even though money has been ultra-tight for my family, I give 20% of my online revenue (from blogging and publishing – I get adsense stuff and affiliate revenue) to charity. I do it because I know that if things are bad for me, they’re even worse for other people in this world and as everyone’s discretionary income goes down, so do charitable contributions. My kids have a roof over thier head and food to eat, we can all go without the “extras” right now to help out. It’s just the morally right thing to do.
